François Hubert Drouais was a French portrait painter. His portraits have a gracious and artificial charm. He began his artistic education with his father, who was also the painter.
His style strikes a balance between the old grandeur and imposing style of the Barque era and the endlessly flowing and decorative nature of the Rococo age to which he belonged.
I love how deftly he writes lace. He pays a big attention to details, jewelry and face features.
This painting you can find in The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts in Moscow, Russia. It was painted in 1762.
